'and Reveal to me every concealed secret' (from as-salat adh-Dhatiya).

This is the motto of this section, which is for information and stories from Islam that was either told by great old Moslems or accepted and supported by Islam. It is also for the Sufi rare information told by the people of Allah.

The Islamic Dress

Nowadays, we see some people who limit religion to physical dress using many false excuses. One excuse is that they want to live exactly like prophet Mohamed with every detail, especially how He dressed. They have forgotten that Islam is flexible and suitable for all ages, the reason that it will remain until Allah inherits the Earth. They have also misunderstood religion and ignored the Prophet’s Hadith (this religion is strong, so get into it gently). narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in The Large Sunnan. They are not aware of the purpose of Shari’a and the laws of jurisprudence upon which a Muslim relies, in order for him not to adopt an opinion that is against Shari’a or Sunna.

As we said before, some people have constrained religion to what they call “Islamic dress”. Having such an Islamic dress means that whoever dresses differently is against our beloved Mohammad’s Sunna. This actually contradicts the Hadith (Many messy-hair, dusty, unnoticed men will have their prayers fulfilled by Allah, if they just ask Him). The word "many" here means that appearance is not something essential to be Muslim.

Others have constrained religion to actions. Whatever action prophet Mohammad did not do will be considered against Shari’a. It seems that they are not aware of the Prophet’s Hadith (Whoever does a good action in Islam has its reward and the rewards of those who copy him without them losing theirs) - narrated by Imam Muslim, Imam Ahmed and many others. Look at the word "good action" and how it is good enough for everyone to copy. This is how Islam is good for all times.

The reason why they miss the truth is that they do not look deep into the spirit of Islam and into the essence of Shari’a. They focus on appearance and their ego gets into it so that they start losing the true intentions of Allah and his beloved Mohammad [PPBUH]. As if they have not heard the hadith; (Allah does not care about how you look like or about your wealth, but He cares about your hearts and deeds) - narrated by Muslim and Al-Bayhaqi. If appearance is what matters to Allah, prophet Mohammad would not have said these words. Prophet Mohammad teaches us that a man's essence is what matters to Allah. This essence is the heart. We have also to understand the Prophet’s hadith; (There is a part in body which, if to be virtuous, will make the whole body virtuous, and if corrupted it corrupts the whole body.  This part is the heart) - narrated by Al-Bukhary and Muslim.

We see a lot of those who deliver sermons talking about do’s and do not’s.  They only talk about the organs and how to tame them. If they listen to the Prophet [PPBUH], they would have known that the heart is able to control all other organs, only if it is pure. The question is how we fix the heart for the safety of all other organs. Is it going to be fixed by the so-called Islamic dress?!

So now what does the Islamic dress look like? there is no such thing. There are requirements of what it should cover but there are no requirements on how it should look like.
