Except
Cordiality
[Except
cordiality, we do not ask our beloved
because
cordiality is highness and true religion](qasida
46:10)
Today we try to get to know one of the
pearls of Imam Fakhruddin [AAH]
which is the 10th verse of the qasida 46, which consist of 20
verses. The Sheikh [AAH] talks in it
about the incursion of Badr and what could be
examples,
sermons, facts,
and the wisdoms to help
us in our current life, after 1400 Hegira years.
At first we
give you summary of the first 9 verses: the sheikh talks about the
people of Badr. Some say that he is talking about the people of of
the
incursion of Badr,
others say that he is talking about [O, people of Badr. O,
Companions of Ahmed] in reference to the full moon [Badr - in
Arabic] and also because he said Ahmad not Mohammad which is which
also referring to the high factual merits of the Prophet [PPBUH].
Here the moon is Mohammad [PPBUH] and being full means its factual
merits.
We say why not,
the sheikh can be talking to the people of this incursion, these
people who got realized by the high factual merits of the Ahmadi
perfection and the associated true meanings that can help us in our
path to Allah. The people of this incursion who accompanied sayyduna
Mohammad [PPBUH] are people with
complete knowledge about the factual merits because if the Prophet [PPBUH]
did not give to those complete saints then who else? These are the
people about whom He [PPBUH] said:
(Allah Showed me the people of Badr and they can what they want
because Allah has forgiven them)- a famous Hadith about them. The
sheikh is giving us some of their rank to get to know them better,
so he says in the 5th verse:
[The word
can never be enough to give your worth
even if we
use the seas as ink to write about]
qasida 46:5
[If hell just heard words about you
then it will
be extinguished and its flames will be ashes]
qasida 46:6
The sheikh then
tells us that he is not talking from the point of truth:
[I was made to witness the riding
followers to you
where the
necks of the people of the two miseries were harvested]qasida
46:7
In this
context, Allah said: [Say:
This is my Way: I call to Allah with sure
witnessed knowledge. I and whosoever
followeth me]
Yousef 12:108.
So he
is one of the followers in the call to Allah with witnessed
knowledge. The Prophet [PPBUH]
also said about them: (on the tip of every hundred years, Allah
sends someone to revive this nation's religion). Pay attention to
the word (Allah sends). Then the sheikh says:
[The Lord revealed
to the angles to support them
He said I will
"throw" and the
ancient
will be repeated]
qasida 46:7
The first half is referring to a Qur'an verse
with the
same wording, and the second half is referring to
the Qur'an verse: [I will
throw
the horror in the hearts of the disbelievers], the
disbelievers of the truth. As the battle between truth and the false
is continuous from the beginning of world to its end, but the way or
the picture may differ along the time. What is new here, is
[the
ancient will be
repeated] which means that in each time there
will come someone to call to truth and whosoever believe with him
and obey him, the same way the people of Badr did, he will have
victory from Allah with the support of His angles who will fight
with them. Allah with throw the horror in the hearts of their
enemies no matter how much they are.
Now we go back
to the 10th verse:
The sheikh
started the verse with the exception which means the limitation and
enclosure. In our time the battle is between those who deny the love
of Ahl-al-Bait [the family of the Prophet-
PPBUH], or those who clam the love, yet consider the lovers
of Ahl-al-Bait as disbelievers and polytheists, while in fact they
are the stray and denying ones. On the other hand of the battle we
find the Lovers of Ahl-al-Bait who are the people of the truth.
Sufis are on top of these lovers. We resort to Qur'an, the book of
Allah, to present the Truth in words, source, and evidence to
establish and support the truth with Allah's words: [If
ye will aid the victory of
Allah, He will grant your
victory, and plant your feet
firmly]
Mohammad 47:7.
The condition of this victory is the obedience that the sheikh [AAH]
finished the qasida with:
[O, Saad,
dictate them the sweetness of the obedience
that made
the advice and guidance tired from repeating it]
qasida 46:20
He is
mentioning the obedience of sayydina Saad ibn Mo'az for our generous
Prophet [PPBUH] when he said to Him:
"You go to you want, O, Messenger of Allah! and we are with you. We
swear by the One who sent you with the truth, that if you come the
sea and go into it, we will go through it with you, and not one of
us will stay back ..." the Hadith.
The sheikh
mentioned in the 14th verse that the obedience to
the Messenger of Allah [PPBUH] in the
incursion of Badr was the reason for victory and prize:
[The
companions yielded to the ruling of their king,
so they won
and had their present and the source of gifts]
qasida 46:14
Back to our 10th verse,
where he [AAH] said to us: I am not
asking you, now in this
period of time, anything but
cordiality. The subject
is limited and enclosed to the cordiality
which is denied by the people of falsehood at our time, and which is
truth in the Qur'an verse: [Say
(O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no reward,
except cordiality (loving
kindness) of
kinsfolk. And whoso scores a good deed we
add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most
appreciative]
al-Shura 42:23.
These are twenty
words (in Arabic) same number of words as the first half of this
10th verse of qasida [Except
cordiality, we do not ask our beloved].
May we not forget the
number of these lightly words carrying great meanings. We find that
the 1st letter of the word (Cordiality -in Arabic) is the
letter number 23 in the qasida verse, in agreement with the number
of that Qur'an verse. So we will be able to remember them with this
relation. The sheikh started the verse with the exception, as we
said, and the linguistic experts tell us that this means the
limitation and disclosure which indicates the high concern with this
(cordiality) subject. He said "Except cordiality" to
emphasize its importance and to indicate that not a thing that is
more important for him to ask except this cordiality. That is
because it is a divine order, by Allah Almighty, and the reward and
gifts are from Him Almighty. That is why it is very important.
