'The Barriers from Al-Mohaimen are four' (qasida 5:16) This is the motto of this section, which is for talking about the barriers that cuts off the Moslems' relations with Allah [Al-Mohaimen which is a name of Allah that means the Dominant who controls everything]. We need to know these barriers in order for us to be able to avoid or rectify them in our path to Allah. This section started with a question from one of our viewers, which he sent to the Discussion page. We then found out that it is a big issue that needs more extensive discussion. We found a book made out of a research conducted by a group of brothers which took them 2 years to complete. This book discusses this subject extensively from the point of view of sayyidi Fakhraddin because it was made with the help of some of his older companions. The book's title is "al-Morshid al-Wagis" which means [the summarized guide]. You can find all special expressions in the Glossary. We need your comments to develop this site for you.

This is a continuation, from a previous issue, to the subject of the barriers from al-Mohaimen. we were talking about the first barrier which is the inner-self. We found that the the inner-self has seven selves, The first and lowest one of them is the "Evil-Inclined Self". The second one was the "Reproaching Self". The third on was the "Inspired Self". The fourth one was the "Reassured Self". These are the rest:
[When disheartened, both pleased and pleasing selves may, be contented with retention after it was content with march] qasida 6:18
The
verse aforementioned showed us how did Mawlana combined both the
pleased and pleasing selves. Just as Allah has mentioned them in Qur'an
[Return
to your
lord,
pleased
and pleasing]
al-Fajr
89:28.
There is no
separation between
these two ranks
(the pleased and pleasing). However, the rank of the well
pleased self is marked by being good
mannered, leaving everything
but Allah, being kind to people, forgiving
their mistakes, loving them and tending to get them out of the darkness
of their natural disposition. Mawlana said that
such self will be content with
the few as much as
being content with the many. It loves
both, the Creator and
the creatures. Moreover, it will be
satisfied with inferior things, as
much as it is with great things. Actually it
does not have rejection because it
is pleased in any case,
this is where it is imperfect; so its
owner is not safe too. What is
really strange about
whoever has this rank is that it is difficult to identify
him through outer appear [Unnoticed shall he be, as if, he is of no post or position] qasida 59:10 For that reason it is hard to identify such one. So, be ware of the temptation of other people, and move along because because you only have a little to go. Keep standing on the door of your sheikh's until he opens it to you, to enter to the sixth rank which is called the well pleasing self.
The well pleasing self has the same characteristics and traits of the well pleased self. However, the promotion in this phase is moral. Since Allah has already accepted you and has given you what you deserve of knowledge, and generous people are known for fulfilling their promises, hence, they place everything in its right place. You may find a completed one of them spending so much if he finds the right ones and the right place for it until some ignorant might think that he is a waster, yet he would refrain from granting even very little when he does not find a deserving one in a right place until some ignorant might think that he is a miserly. So, you would better be aware of Allah's craftiness. For, no one whoever, may deem himself secure from Allah's craftiness, save those that are ignorant. Only pious knowledgeable ones are to be always in a state of fear of Allah's craftiness. It is easy to say you belong to such rank, yet on time of exam you may sense how heavy such burden is. Moreover, you should know that you have reached a level in which the one, who have known himself, must have known his Lord. And you may know thy Lord by the ever lasting and most honorable qualities. Then, the mirror of your slavery may then be opposite to that of His deity. This is the interpretation of the Qudsi (holy) Hadith reciting: [neither My skies nor My lands big enough for Me, but only the heart of a true, thankful, lenient and meek believer does]. Exalted be Allah from having any like or match. In addition, Almighty shall unveil the meaning of the verse reciting [nothing like the likeness of Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing] ash-Shura 53:11.
sayydi Fakhraddin said about it: [The greatest redemption lies in killing that; which is accepted, regardless its flaws] qasida 6:19
[After that a seeker shall innately live, this is the weaning and the ultimate grant of all] qasida 6:20
In such a
rank, one is to be honored and of absolute perfection. If he is to
be seen, whoever sees him shall
remember and recite Allah for that.
But, of course, this is
so normal, for
he has become a saint
of Allah. Actually, by reaching the fourth rank, he
has begotten such post. Nevertheless, the
fourth rank is that of ordinary saints, the fifth is of special ones
and the sixth is of the
best of the best. You must know that in such
rank a seeker is to suffer great pains. He shall harbor no hatred
for any one. Yet, he may show hatred to whoever may deserve it, and
his love to those who shall deserve it as well. He shall fear
blame from [Rejoice my seeker, if you have followed the path, with the aid of Allah, so keep straight] qasida 40:19 To be continued…..
